THE PALM TREE HOUSE F.A.Q

How do I get to your Bali Retreat?

The airport code is DPS – Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. At our Bali Retreat we provide complimentary airport transfers to retreat between the hours of 11am – 8 pm on the first day of the retreat and 8am – 9pm on the final day of your retreat.

For guest arrivals and departures outside our transfer times, it will be necessary to organize your individual transport to or from the retreat at your own expense, which can range from $15 – $25 USD approx. We are happy to organise this on your behalf.

What age are most of your guests on this Bali retreat?

Typically, our guests range in age from mid 20’s – to late 40’s although we also get younger and older guests. What we find is everyone connects well regardless of their age, background or nationality.

About 60% of our guests are solo travellers and meals are served communally which is a great way to connect with others. The Palm Tree House Bali is a safe and ideal place to stay as a solo woman traveller.

How much money should I bring?

As most things are included in your Bali retreat package, the only things you will need to pay for are any incidentals (such as alcoholic drinks, phone calls, extra spa treatment services) and the 4 dinners and two lunches not included where you get to explore some of the fabulous restaurants nearby.

If you wish to do any optional extra activities or go shopping while staying at our Bali retreat, there are plenty of ATMs available nearby, where you may withdraw money.

Is there an age minimum?

You must be at least 18 years or older to join our Bali retreat.

Do I need to rent a car or scooter?

Our Bali retreat is in the heart of Canggu and its easy to access the beaches and shops with one of our complimentary bicycles.

We also have a driver on hand who will take you on 2 x sightseeing trips to see some of Bali’s famous sights. If you don’t wish to cycle or walk, you are welcome to rent a scooter which we can organise. It costs approx US$7 per day.

Is there shopping nearby?

Yes there is lots of great shopping right near the retreat. You can either walk around the shops or cycle to them within 5 – 10 minutes. If you wish to go further afield, we can organise transport for you at an additional charge. Private drivers cost as little as US$25 per half day.

What should I pack?

Bali is very warm and tropical so you won’t need to bring big bulky clothes to your Bali retreat. Here are some things that may come in handy: several swim suits, sunscreen, hat for sun protection, a dress for a night out, flip flops, beach towel, yoga or active clothes and personal toiletries. We provide bath towels, all surf, yoga, fitness and spa equipment.

What excursions are included:

Our 6 night/7 day retreat packages include 2 wonderful sightseeing days. On Monday guests experience the delightful cultural town of Ubud, and on Thursdays, the scheduled trip is to the beautiful beaches and dramatic cliff tops of Uluwatu. If your stay at The Palm Tree House is less than 6 nights/7 days, you may miss one of these tours. The tours only run on Mondays and Thursdays as part of the retreat package. Excursions and trips outside of these days can be arranged at an additional cost.

How long can I stay?

Great question! As long as you like! Our packages are 6 nights/7 days, but you are welcome to extend this for longer if you please. If you are pressed for time, we have a 4 night minimum stay. Please note that if you stay less than 6 nights/7 days, then your inclusions may differ. Excursions, meals and activities are dependant on check in and check out days. Are men welcome at The Palm Tree House?

YES! We are excited to open our doors to men at Palm Tree House Villa #5! While 4 of our villas remain just women-only sanctuaries, it was important to us to offer both men, women and couples an option to stay and retreat too. Men need to rejuvenate and unwind just as much as women do! Please enquire for couples pricing.
